Experience
I'm Karin Moore, a DC- and NY-licensed attorney who has spent a good part of my legal career at the intersection of law, policy, and purpose—advising nonprofit trade associations on how to lead with integrity, navigate complexity, and stay true to their mission.
Over the past 15+ years, I’ve served as general counsel and senior legal advisor to national associations working across various regulated industries, including food, beverage, beverage alcohol and energy. I’ve helped boards rewrite bylaws, guided organizations through regulatory uncertainty, advised on compliance and lobbying rules, and supported leadership teams through times of growth and challenge. I know what it’s like to be the only lawyer in the room—and how to make legal guidance accessible, strategic, and aligned with organizational goals.
Earlier in my career, I was an antitrust litigator with a large international firm and held multiple roles at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission before, during and after law school, giving me a strong foundation in competition law and regulatory enforcement that continues to inform my counsel.
